Advise me is not exactly your average alternative rock song. It has an air of its own. It is a little bit off the main theme and feeling of the album and falls into a category of the more optimistic and uplifting songs of the band.

"...Well, the song sets a question: Should you ask of another person (close to you) to define you as a person or should you ask your self of your definition? While the answer may seem obvious, I noticed a tremendous difficulty defining myself as I had unconditionally given myself to another person who now ended up holding the key of my definition! So while I start asking him for answers (Was it because I got lost in my own past, advise me) I end up realizing that, no matter how hard this was going to be, it's not him the one that I should ask for approvals but me... And that's where the song took another turn where I ask myself all those questions".
