about

While Gloria acts as the intro of the album, Searching the liar is actually considered to be the official opening song. As the theme of the album suggests, 96/4 follows a man who stops accusing others about the misfortunes happening in his life and starts a quest to see his own contribution to those misfortunes, in order to widen his perception and enter a path towards self awareness.

"...The opening line "Lock the doors I hide the key, the enemy is inside of me" was crucial for me back at that point in my life. I think is crucial for anyone who wishes to enter any kind of self awareness effort. It's a phrase that simply urges you to keep it low, stop accusing and see where you contribute in your misfortunes. As for the conclusion of the song, I saw a 7 year old me living in a 30 year old me, stubbornly refusing to accept his wrong doings".

Lock the doors I hide the key
The enemy’s inside of me

I chase this shadow of that thing
That lives inside me years

Behind the throne of pride it smears

Home sweet home is a mess
A maze of sharp thorns
My thoughts spill blood on the walls
He’s taken over my home
Searching the liar inside

Help me oh God control the pain
The snitch, the rat, the devil and the saint

The chase is fierce it slips it falls
It’s down I get a glimpse

A seven year old boy that laughs in thrill
