about

After a bad break up with a long childhood friend, Dimitris entered a phase of discovering the reasons that led to this break up. He was always intrigued when hearing about others going through such situations where long term relationships that looked full of promises at the beginning, ended up in a very bad way.

"...It is very painful and maybe even life threatening going through such things. One of the many realizations that came out of this was the fact that when two people get together, they need to perceive the motives behind their relationship. The road/rule I personally choose to walk/function in my life is the road of self revelation. In a road of self revelation you get to study your unconscious nature. What you are going to understand about your nature and man's nature in general might scare you at first (...and don't be scared of our jackal-heads, it's the truth of the road we share) but it is supposed to eventually protect you from this very nature of yourself. So, two people getting together must make a conscious choice of walking free the same path, side by side (walk with me, don't just follow me).

...About the chorus, it has to do with the usual reaction of the people who broke up. It involves hate and revenge most of the time. I wanted to urge myself not to give in to those black feelings and rather take the time to heal and wish for the best to both me and my old childhood friend"

MORE WORTHLESS TRIVIA
In the song's photo, everyone believes that the man turning his head is wearing a rat mask. Due to low budget props we found that fox mask that resembles the jackal's head. Photo wanted to depict the moment that a person realizes his friend is not who he seemed to be, matching the corresponding phrase from the lyrics.

Walk with me, don’t just follow me
On this road, you have chosen to be
Where do we go down from here, nobody knows

And don’t be scared of our jackal-heads
It’s the truth of this road we share
Where do we go down from here, nobody knows

Do we rip off our heads out of rage or revenge?
Or we give the time, we share the time
Or we buy the time instead
Do we feed of our hate to see who will first fail?
Or we give the time, we share the time
Or we buy the time instead

Walk with me, now you don’t follow me
On this road, free you’ve chosen to be
Where do we go down from here, nobody knows
